Aaron Baker - Keyboard, Rythm Guitar and Vocals

There was a lot of music in his house while growing up. Both of Aaron's parents sang and played instruments. Along
with that, quite often there were vinyl records or the radio playing a variety of different music. He learned to harmonize by hearing his Dad always singing the bass line.

Aaron started playing the Violin in 4th grade and then moved on to Trombone in 7th. By the time he was in 9th grade he had taught himself to play all of the brass and woodwind instruments in his Jr. High band room.

At age 14 he asked his Mom to show him the notes of the piano. He then went out and purchased the sheet music to the Theme for Hill Street Blues, a popular television show at the time. A couple of months later he was playing with both hands, reading sheet music, and learning chord structures.

At 15 he a friend decided to try their hand at guitar. This friendship evolved into the first band for Aaron (Sail). That group was based out of Dansville MI and lasted through High School. The next band (Threshold) started up when Aaron was in his early 20's. Based out of Ashley MI, they stayed together for 7 years.

After getting married and having kids Aaron was longing to be in a group again. After hearing (Disturbing the Peace) at a local bar he asked Jerry Mitchell then drummer, for an opportunity to sing backup vocals. Within a few months the band had coaxed Aaron to pickup keyboards again. Aaron says that his favorite thing about Conchord is that the guys are always willing to work on being a band with tight harmonies.
